✨ He started on the drill squares and oil-stained hands with a heart full of altitude. A young Engine Fitter in 1981 helped keep legends like Hunters, Gnats and MI-8s sky-ready. From humming hangars, his journey ran across the map—Tambaram, Jammu, Srinagar, Sulur and Hindan- constantly moving, constantly proving. Machines roared around him, but duty never drowned the bigger call within him- To Fly 🪽

✨ Service by day, training by night—his resolve never wavered.
Every spare hour went into flying, studying and pushing himself skyward. In 1992, his perseverance paid off as he earned his Commercial Pilot Licence—a dream finally written in blue ink in his logbook. 📘

✨ His professional flying career took off in 2002 as a Flying Instructor on the Cessna 172. From there, he rose to the cockpit of the Citation Jet 2, each step lifting the horizon a little higher. Today, he commands the Super King Air B200 for the Government of Chhattisgarh—forged in steel and sky, proving that destiny can be rebuilt one flight at a time.

✨ And the story doesn’t end there—another generation has quietly continued the tradition of service. Drawing strength from the same values, the younger Tiwari, now Cdr Amit Tiwari, has served as helicopter aircrew during some of the most challenging disaster-relief operations of recent years, including the maiden NVG rescue over sea and helping bring more than 150 people to safety during missions such as Cyclone Ockhi and the Kerala Floods of 2018, while also undertaking critical MEDEVAC and CASEVAC missions whenever the call demanded. Currently, he serves as a Sea King Pilot at INS Dega.
