रही बात पूरब में पाँच सौ साल के पहले क्षत्रियों का अस्तित्व न होने की तो जिस घाघरापार क्षेत्र में श्रावस्ती से निकले श्रीवास्तव कायस्थों की मुख्य बसावट मिलती है उस घाघरापार क्षेत्र में श्रावस्ती से निकले श्रीनेत वंश को पारम्परिक तौर पर सदियों से सबसे उच्च कोटि का क्षत्रिय माना जाता रहा है। इन श्रीनेतो का घाघरापार क्षेत्र में करीब छह सौ साल पुराना तो शिलालेख मिला है और बिहार के भोजपुर क्षेत्र में इनके भाई वंश निकुंभ की सदियों पुरानी बसावट है।
