“I have the disorder that makes me avoid doing shit even the shit thats important to my health, my survival and even the things I’m passionate about and I can do nothing but live with it and everyone believes Im a lazy halfwit”
doing this ONCE:
ADHD brains respond positively to novelty, urgency, interest & STRUCTURALLY rejects consistency.
So yah, I set alarms. Four years ago. They still go off at the same time. My brain started ignoring them like 3w after setting them? B/c they were OLD news.
1. It’s called object permanence dysfunction — and it’s one of the quietest ADHD patterns.
For the ADHD brain, things that are unread don’t fully exist as tasks yet.
The moment you open the message, it becomes an obligation with weight.
So the brain avoids opening it.
Not because you don’t care about the person.
Because you’re avoiding the cost of the obligation, not the person themselves.
One of the hardest things abt ADHD for me is realizing I’m inconsistent w literally *everything*, even ppl I love. I can care deeply, miss you, think abt texting you all day & still not do it and then have no real explanation for why. It causes me a lot of grief
trying to reach out to friends again now that you’re doing infinitely better mentally and have the spoons to be social truely is a humiliation ritual because when they hit you with the most bland responses and clearly don’t care that you’re actually reaching out again
Welcome to ADHD Depot! We proudly offer:

Suddenly entering full-on panic mode because everything became urgent at once.
And, of course: "So... ADHD just means you can't focus, right?"
мама: это не окей, что ты лежишь весь день в кровати, странно себя ведёшь и гипер-чувствительно на все реагируешь, у тебя что-то не так с головой

ADHD is spending 45 minutes writing the perfect to-do list with colour codes, priorities, and motivational quotes...
then closing the notebook and immediately doomscrolling because the list now feels like a threat instead of a plan.
ADHD can seem fun and quirky until you’re too ashamed to reconnect with people because you haven’t had the mental space to reply for 6 weeks, and now the guilt and fear of being judged is too much.
бля почему мне уже 26, а я чувствую себя максимум на 22... я не понимаю
