With counselling and guidance from Musasa, she reported the abuse and the perpetrator was arrested. This is a powerful reminder that awareness can connect survivors to the support they need.

Gender Based Violence NGOs?
Those ones are waiting for some major injection of Mzungu money during #16DaysOfActivism (November to December) to engage in yet another massive virtue signaling campaign. Last year, the @EUinUG, especially the Swedes put some major cash in the campaign.
The real work of actually shining a light on domestic violence and fighting it isn’t for our NGO types. It’s all about the 💷 💵 💰 and some pictures with diplomats.
As for your point of women being expected to protect women, I can’t really comment.
I however find Lady Justice Rosette Kania level headed. She has a case to hear and will hear it as fairly as possible. Hopefully. 🤞🏾
