By placing second at the Apache Brigade Head-to-Head Ranger Competition, the SFA ROTC Ranger Challenge team advances to the Sandhurst Military Skills competition, taking place at the U.S. Military Academy. Only 16 teams out of 274 ROTC programs qualified.

This year, SFA broke ground on the new Basketball Performance Center, and the Board of Regents approved a renovation and expansion to the Griffith Fine Arts Building, which will house theatres and facilities for sound recording technology and filmmaking.
