Yes and yes. 1) This is a *standard* but wrong behaviour I experience both when cycling & driving. 2) yes to #2SecondRule So damn common. Not-quite (reverse) tail-gating but irritatingly simple problem. Trivial, poor-driving becomes standard-practice because it's never-corrected

The number one reason for such rear end accidents is not keeping a safe gap. I had recently posted about maintaining a 2- second gap. Please learn that principle and follow it to not be one of these cars… #roadsafety #2secondrule

#2SecondRule - Distance between 2 cars should be minimum 2-3 seconds. #RightofWay - Means who deserves to cross lane or merge in, its very important #NoLanecutting Big cause of highway accident so follow lanes . #NoRashDriving Drivers needs to be cautious of speed & driving rules

Give yourself the best chance by using headlights and fog lights, ensure wipers are not worn, double your distance with the car in front, and if steering becomes unresponsive due to the rain ease off the accelerator and slow down gradually. https://t.co/Ya3Bkt1kr2 #2secondrule

@ThinkSaferRoads Good to see action being taken on the driver. The motorcycle appears to get as close to the cycle as the car did, and is likely to be in a difficult position if a collision had occurred - due to their chosen following position #2SecondRule. We’re they fined too?
