I didn’t grow up in a #ReformedBaptist setting. Quite the opposite, I was raised in staunchly anti-Calvinist Baptist circles. But by God’s grace, He has guided me over time and shown me the biblical faithfulness of Reformed Baptist theology, as laid out in the #1689 #2LCF I recently completed “What is a Reformed Baptist” by @TomHicks2LCF, and I’m blown away by how clear and helpful it is. In one short book, Tom has articulated the sum of doctrine that God has been teaching me (the long way) over the last decade. For me, this book is like a victory lap of encouragement with each page confirming the convictions that God has been forging in my heart. Tom, thank you for writing this. @FoundersMin thank you for publishing it. I could not recommend this work more highly!

Today is 2LCF day! #otd, 1677, Nehemiah Coxe wrote in the Petty France Church Book, "It was agreed that a Confession of Faith wth the appendix thereto having bene read & considered by the Brē: should be published." Here's a collage of three 1677's and a 1699 (bottom right).

Think the main diff between reformed baptists (not calvinist dispy baptists) and presbyterians is baptism and ecclesiology? Nope. Those are manifestations of the diff in our covenant theologies; answering the question: Who are the people of God?? #2LCF #ReformedBaptist #GoodBook
