Picking up #30daysofmaking at day 11, I'm sharing a failed project. I was working on a shepherds crook, carved from a forking piece of maple. Half way through carving I split it. I tried pegging and gluing, but it didn't set correctly. A learning experience.

Day 6 of #30daysofmaking I'm putting together a PiPhone. I still need to install a driver for the touch screen and haven't yet figured out how to power the GSM directly from the battery. The goal is to get the phone up and running so I can build a wooden case for it.

#30daysofmaking day 2 I painted a quick water color portrait of DenZolo. We hosted a dinner of poutine and pie. Then lit a big fire in Fisher stove and crafted together for the remainder of the evening.
