BACKGROUND
I got #BORNAGAIN over 30 years ago and I was taught that the secret to sustaining my faith in Jesus Christ was to do #3KeyThings consistently; essentially; #Daily. Ie

#Fellowship
#ReadTheBible
#Praying has never been a problem for me as it tends to happen regularly - and especially whenever I am unsure of something (which is quite often ๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ๐). So I do pray generally daily; and often more than once a day; hata kama itโs for food.
#Fellowshipping is also not too much of a problem as it is about going to church, and for someone brought up by #Clergy, this one is nearly instinctive. Add that am a politician so going to church is like โa thingโ we do over and above your personal faith in it ๐
#BibleStudy and #BibleDevotion is where the challenge is. Letโs be honest. Reading the Bible regularly can be tough. Sana. Especially as it doesnโt seem to have a natural flow to how itโs written so usually one has no idea where to start or stop. And this is where most Christians get stuck - and I had this challenge for the first couple of years too. And if you get stuck it affects your walk with God.
MY PERSONAL ROUTINE
For the last close to 20 years I have used the #365DayBible as my #GoTo Bible study guide. It breaks the Bible into 365 daily readings. Each reading has a section from the #OldTestament, #NewTestament, something from #Psalms & also from #Proverbs.
Ideally if you followed it faithfully and read each dayโs reading, you would cover the Bible cover to cover once each year (and actually read the Psalms & Proverbs twice!)
Of course I have never been able to read EVERY DAY in any of the 20 years; but cumulatively I suspect I must have read the Bible close to 10 times cover to cover, when I combine every years daily reading. And it has had a massive (positive) effect on my life.
When I started I just used to read. Over time as I learnt to study, I started making small notes of each dayโs readings. It added serious value to what I read and how I understood it! Today; each year I buy a #Diary specifically for my Bible devotion study, and make notes of each section that I read. What this has done is allowed me to be able to measure how many days I actually do my Bible Study each month, and each year.
Below I have shared a copy of the particular Bible I use; how I do my notes (using the last day I did this year - before sherehe kicked in ๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ๐) - and how my last 3 years Bible study numbers have looked like. (#SiriNiNumbers, everywhere ๐).
CONCLUSION
I have been a Christian long enough to learn you cannot brag about it. In fact I have been a Christian long enough to know that itโs purely by the #GraceOfGod, #MercyOfGod & #FavorOfGod, that #IAm. Left to my own devices โฆ weuh!!!! ๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ๐
So I am not sharing this for clout. I am sharing this for that young (or old) Christian who is on this page who reads my political stuff (๐) and is also searching for a method to walk with God in their Bible Study, for the year #2026.
This system has worked for me. It will certainly not work for everyone. But it might work for you; as is; or in some variable. So please โฆ karibu.
This year I want to use #CoverToCover version which is still the same daily reading for 365 days, but it organizes the Bible #Chronologically; essentially taking you through the Bible as it happened.
It was done by #SelwynHughes & #TrevorPatridge and recommended to us by #PastorDennisWhite in the year 2000. I tried to read it then but my daily reading discipline was terrible ๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ๐. Let me see how we do this year. (Will share my experience with it in 1/1/2027, God Willing).
