-> Combining Navigators!
Closing in on the final product, my app just went through a major change. I designed a seamless navigation structure which will be using a combination of Switch Navigation, Stack Navigation, and Bottom Tab Navigation! It’s been a really fun day refactoring these changes into the codebase and using the app on Expo Go in my device. It feels much more user-friendly and intuitive now!

-> Working on learning responsive sizing!
Today mostly went in learning how I can make sure that every component sizes itself with respect to the screen! It’s going to end up being a super useful skill.
I have already been able to make it work enough for me to see the home screen be responsive to both an iPhone 15 Pro Max (simulator) and an iPhone 14 Pro (physical)!

After a lot of work, and standardizing the color palette (cont. from Day 9), I was finally able to switch between light and dark mode through just a toggle! While it looks easy in most apps, it’s definitely a mindful job!

The business logic is never “finished”. It’s always evolving - after all that’s where the utility of your app lies. I thought that my business logic was done for and I could focus solely on the frontend now. But nevermind!

Create beautiful View instances with a linear gradient fill inside :) Helped me create a stand-out progress bar filler for my app and adds so much to an otherwise monotone home screen!

A super useful library to send local notifications to the user. If your app doesn’t have a backend, this library is going to save you in terms of notifying the end user on their device. Doesn’t even need the Apple Dev!

AsyncStorage is a React Native data storage system that is a fantastic persistence tool. Today, I made serialization and parsing methods for all classes, set up data writing and loading using useEffect() hooks, and fixed bugs!
