“Why can’t I just start?”
That’s the question I used to ask myself way too often. I’d sit down to work, open my laptop… and suddenly feel frozen. I had energy. I had time. I even wanted to be productive.
But I didn’t know where to begin.
Turns out, that’s not laziness. It’s not even procrastination in the way we usually think about it.
It’s a lack of structure.
Psychologists have found that people delay tasks not because they’re unwilling, but because they’re unclear. No starting point. No plan. No direction. So we avoid the task altogether — not because we don’t care, but because we feel overwhelmed by uncertainty.
Remote workers, students, and solo builders all feel this. When your day has no natural shape, it becomes mentally exhausting to create one from scratch every day.
But here’s the good news:
-> Structure is the antidote.
When you follow a schedule — especially one that’s tailored to your goals, workload, and energy — productivity doesn’t have to be forced. It becomes flow. You don’t waste time deciding what to do. You just do it.
Science backs this up:
- A 2021 meta-analysis found that time management improves job performance, reduces stress, and boosts well-being.
- A study of high performers found 92% follow a consistent daily routine.
- Companies that implemented structured schedules saw up to 7% higher sales and productivity.
We don’t need more hours in the day. We need better ones.
That’s the idea behind Plannr — the app I’ve been building for the past 2 months.
It automatically generates a weekly schedule for you, factoring in your deadlines, priorities, and time limits. The result? A breathable, conflict-free plan you can actually follow — and adapt when life happens.
Because let’s face it:
We don’t fail because we’re lazy.
We fail because we never had a plan.
Plannr — because scheduling shouldn’t be a task.
You don’t lack discipline. You overestimated your day and underestimated life.
That’s why your schedule keeps breaking.
- To-do lists feel productive.
- Schedules feel stressful.
Because once a schedule breaks,
it makes you feel like you failed.
That’s a design flaw — not a personality flaw.
What if your schedule moved when you missed something?
Not guilt. Not red. Just… adjustment.
That’s what I’m building with Plannr.

#50DaysOfAppDevelopment Day 20/50
-> expo-notifications architecture seems broken!
I think it’s time to shift to Firebade Cloud Messaging for Push Notifications now! There is some weird fallback issue in the expo-notifications architecture I had set up for my app, and we can’t be having that this close to launch!
Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I’m not going to be able to make it - but this is going to be an incredible space and I urge everyone who sees this post to attend!

Sickness hit me like a rock - I couldn’t do anything towards my app for 6 days. But now that I’m recharging, I’m going into stronger than ever before.
This is going to be the most productive stretch of my app’s development.
While I did not like a lot of what they did at WWDC, I did not hate a single thing as much as I hate this clear icons mode. Horrendous.
While Liquid Glass in tabs and other things a good UI change, this is the most unnecessary thing ever. Thank God it’s optional!
#50DaysOfAppDevelopment Day 19/50
-> While it has been 3 days of being even more sick, I tried to keep small progress going. Today, I enrolled myself in the Apple Developer Program! Looking forward to sending Plannr on test flight soon :)
PS: I’m also in developer beta now so hey, liquid glass time😀

-> Sick Day Pt2
Somehow got worse than yesterday, and I couldn’t get anything done today. Not even some interactions on here. The lowest point for sure.
