Its #Sotlwalk week again! This month we are thinking about CREATIVITY - a topic close to my heart and of course a nod to the great Sir Ken Robinson. Go out, walk, and ponder what creativity means to you (not just coloured pencils!). https://t.co/TSpJnc40s4
Q8) What have you learned tonight? What can you take back to your practice, or to the rest of your life? #lrnchat
@steph_moore I use a class hashtag, but the intent of Twitter with my class is to build PLN, so their own accounts are ok. We don’t use it for content/comm’n. #5414SoMe
@tjoosten Neither. I only set the stage. They do the heavy lifting. Happily, learning is reciprocal. I learn lots with every class. #LoveMyLearners #5414SoMe
Thanks, @nickfloro - this is important information for those of us who are creating slides or documents. Informed DESIGN is the basis of everything, it seems to me. #InstructionalDesign #LearningDesign #MessageDesign #AllDesign #5414SoMe

A2: I really want to incorporate more of a focus on Social Media for learning when I get back into the classroom this fall. #formativechat #5414some
@Rdene915 Yes! And some of my colleagues who were previously kind of tech-phobic are embracing it and learning in new ways! #formativechat #5414some
A1: One thing that has surprised me is that some students are actually really thriving in an online environment (not as many as I would like) but I feel like I am getting to know some of my introverted students even better! #formativechat #5414some
A1: a positive experience that motivated me was to always be ready for anything, and never take for granted what we all had. The crisis and the course I take, also showed me that learning can happen in a variety of ways using social media. Social media for learning #nt2t
It’s about designing experiences, not stuff. My grad class/learners have a huge focus on community, connection, contribution, self and peer development. Content helps support the learning experience. It is NOT the learning experience. @mylakehead #5414SoMe
As educators our time learning is skewed way too heavily on curriculum and content and way too little time on community and connection. Those are buzz words that require intentional exploration, understanding and practice and I believe supercede content and curriculum.
@ev_claire @JaimeDonally @creativitydept I found the same...I don't have a lot (or any) experience with AR but I would love to use it in the future!! #k12artchat #5414SoMe
#K12ArtChat A1) @CoSpaces_Edu a student uploaded her art work to create a virtual reality art gallery. #arvrinedu
A1. Unfortunately I don't have any experience using AR in the classroom but I have heard about an app called Quiver. It allows students to make their colourings 3D https://t.co/pIpfT38xuA #K12artchat #CreativityDept #ARVRinEDU #5414SoMe
Hi my name is Amanda, I am a new teacher (only one year) here to learn as much as I can! #elemmathchat #5414some
@mrkempnz A5: I have seen students are working very well with online applications and taking initiative to include more detail to their online work. #whatisschool #5414some
