#545rn M7 @pcjefa Future plans is to implement policies that I have within our organization and use it for healthier patient outcomes. For example, falls. Very common. Take that policy, huddle with nurses, have them sign off, discuss policy post huddle, and implement improvement.

#545rn M2 @pcjefa The healthcare issue that I have selected to address through policy is mandatory overtime in nursing. As of today, 18 states have passed legislation restricting nurses’ of mandatory overtime and Hawaii is currently exempt at this time.

@pcjefa #545rn M6. Medicaid will not cover medical conditions while a person is in jail or prison due to the Medicaid Inmate Exclusion Policy (MIEP). Inmates have to pay out of pocket for medications and doctors appointments. Medicaid coverage for inmates can save billions.
