For my final #7DaysofFieldwork: #scicomm fieldwork! I was so lucky to go to Whitehorse #Yukon π¨π¦ with @csa_asc 's #JuniorAstronauts campaign! We visited over 10 classrooms and #stem clubs! Plus some free days to πΏ, visit wildlife πand soak in hot springs! Thanks @westernuSpace
Day 6 of #7DaysofFieldwork features my hometown of #Sudbury ON π¨π¦! We visited the Sudbury Impact Structure and learned about impact crater formation and products. Our final project involved mapping the occurrence of Sudbury #Breccia! Thanks for the great course @drcrater!
Final Day of #7DaysOfFieldwork! Ending in the volcanically rich lands of Iceland where lava fields and fissure vents are used to understand volcanic eruptions on Mars π I traveled in 2019 to study the roughness of the 2014-15 Holuhraun lava flow-field using #radar and #lidar
Day 6 of #7DaysOfFieldwork! Off to Lanzarote, the fourth largest Canary Island part of Spain! Studied the terrain, eruption style and regional geology of the islands volcanic deposits! Part of the #CanMoon 2019 recon field team π#geology #Lanzarote #volcano

Day 5 of #7dDaysofFieldwork! I had the opportunity to work as a field assistant in #Missanabie for @ONgeology the Summer of 2017! It was an amazing experience full of 5km+ travers in dense bush π² boats trips π€ helicopter rides π and 2h drives to #Wawa for groceries!
Day 7 of #7DaysOfFieldwork - Thought I would end with where it all started! My @OhioState Field Geology course! Spent 6 weeks in Utah learning how to be a field geologist! If it wasn't for this experience, then these past 6 days might not have been possible! β€β #Geology

Day 4 of #7DaysofFieldwork! A field course brought me to #DeathValley and the small town of Shoshone #California! πΊπ² We mapped large terrains of volcanic rocks and sedimentary stratigraphy and we were lucky enough to get a day break to be tourists in Death Valley National Park!
Day 3 of #7DaysofFieldWork !! This is a good one π. In my 3rd year I went to a small island called San Salvador in the #Bahamas π§πΈ where we explored coral reefs, karsting, cave systems, hyper saline lakes with stromatolites and more! By far my favorite field experience to date!
Day 6 of #7DaysOfFieldwork - Spent the past two summers in the High #Arctic for my #PhD fieldwork with @drcrater. Studying periglacial processes on Earth with #gpr and #lidar to help find ice on #Mars βπ΄ My dream job! @csa_asc
Day 5 of #7DaysOfFieldwork - went to Antarctica to assist @colddirt, @ErroneousTholus and Kelly Hughes in studies ranging from mapping buried ice, collecting salt encrusted soil samples, and setting up time lapse cameras to record stream and pond changes! An amazing experience!π

Day 2 of #7DaysofFieldWork! My second year field course took me to West Virginia and North Carolina πΊπ², where we logged stratigraphy, made geological maps of folds and visits sites of the Appalachian ophiolites! (Including a cool wall of Dunite I could not find a pic of!)
