Tropical Depression / Invest #93W / LPA 08e
Already a tropical depression by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the disturbance is located in the center of a large monsoon gyre. It is not expected to develop into a significant tropical cyclone and may be absorbed into Nangka’s circulation through binary interaction over the next two days. It is currently under the Tropical Cyclone Formation Alert (TCFA) by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC).
Invest #92W
Located in northeastern Micronesia, this disturbance has no distinct center and still appears to be a messy trough. Little to no development is expected over the next two days, but the system is likely to gradually develop starting early next week. Model guidance indicates the potential for a significant tropical cyclone by late next week, although there is also considerable disagreement in the projected track, ranging from the Philippines to the waters east of northern Japan. A more accurate forecast should become possible as the days go by.
Tropical Storm NANGKA
A slowly moving storm on the eastern flank of the monsoon gyre, #Nangka will continue moving northeastward and may weaken into a tropical depression by the middle of next week. It poses no significant threat to any landmass.
Tropical Depression CHAN-HOM (#Chan_hom)
The weakening storm is now located east of South Korea, over the Sea of Japan. It will be absorbed by the developing frontal system moving in from Mongolia within the next 48 hours.
Notes:
1. Invest #90W has dissipated and merged with the circulation of #92W.
2. Tropical Depression #Dolphin has also dissipated into a remnant low over eastern China.
3. Tropical Depression #Peilou has become an extratropical cyclone over the northern Pacific Ocean.
4. NONE of the aforementioned systems are expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

In addition to the two active systems in the Western Pacific (WPAC) basin — Tropical Depression #KiyapoPH and Invest #93W — we're also looking at the cloud clusters in the Central Pacific (CPAC) that may cross the International Date Line — entering the WPAC basin — early next week.
Global models are now beginning to pick up these cloud clusters and have shown increasing consistency over the past few model runs. The GFS, ECMWF, Japan's GSM, and Google's DeepMind model are now suggesting the potential for a significant typhoon to develop next week as it meanders across the west-central Pacific Ocean.
Disclaimer: Since this is a long-range forecast, despite the consistency among many models, significant changes in upcoming model runs are still highly likely. ⚠️
