Peace & Justice Network's Access to Justice Cell (#A2JC) and #Sahil Organization had a very detailed and productive meeting. During the meeting it was discussed in detail on the work being done by both the organizations in the area of Legal Aid and what steps can be taken for collaborative efforts to address child abuse and gender-based violence (#GBV) cases. During our meeting, both teams explored ways to strengthen the #LegalAid support system for survivors of GBV and child abuse. It was agreed to have a formal MoU Signed between PJN's A2JC and Sahil Organization as a next step and way forward.

Team Access to Justice Cell (#A2JC) met with Deputy Commissioner #Islamabad, to present the Cell’s objectives, ongoing initiatives, and future goals, emphasising on the Cell’s primary goal of ensuring access to justice for all, irrespective of their financial constraint. The best way of accomplishing this goal is by reaching out to the marginalised segments by setting up #LegalClinics. The Deputy Commissioner expressed deep appreciation for the Cell’s accomplishment and mission. The Deputy Commissioner agreed to collaborate on establishing #LegalCamps in the underprivileged areas of Islamabad, enhancing our effort of making justice accessible for all. #AccesstoJustice #LegalAwareness

Team Access to Justice Cell (#A2JC) of @PJNPakistan visited Islamabad #Police Trans Protection Unit (#TPU) and had a meeting with Unit Incharge Ms. Nayyab Ali (@nayyabalipk) learn about its role and function, to see the work being done by it as well as to discuss how the Access to Justice Cell can be of help to the unit in safeguarding and protecting the rights of the #transgender community. #JusticeforAll #RuleofLaw
