Many youth residential programs utilize high control and punishment (fear-based) totalistic treatment.
The use of these methods and the resulting trauma is what we define as institutional abuse.

35 years ago this weekend when I was 5 my dad was arrested for sexually abusing my friend, he went to prison and I became a ward of court. 4 yrs ago today,I reported him to the police for all the #csa up to age 18. Sensitive and angry today and I make no apologies for this.
