#AL4SAN is not another #runtime. Think of it as a lightweight #abstraction layer that bridges the task-based user code w/ runtime backends via standard APIs. We are looking at providing support to Intel #OneAPI, #Kokkos, and #JIT compilation. C++ adoption is next! @Rabab_Mohammad

@HPC_Guru @JimCownie We just had our #AL4SAN paper accepted at IEEE TPDS that introduces a standard API for task-based runtimes. This enables a single sequential code to run on shared/dist CPU/GPU. Support to #StarPU #PaRSEC #LLVM backends. Thx @science_dot for useful conversations @Rabab_Mohammad

This is a long overdue abstraction layer for tasking engines. This may not be perfect, but it is out there available for download. And no, it is not yet another runtime! #AL4SAN #productivity #HPC https://t.co/aM87zwquHp
