Key message I'm getting from #AMOSfire is massive push after Black Saturday to better understand and communicate fire risks. Lots of effort from scientists, forecasters and CFA to better prepare for future fires. Better tools, understanding and messaging should help.

On Black Saturday we had hourly satellite images. Now we can get snapshots every 2.5 minutes, makes a big difference in predicting and watching fire fronts #AMOSfire

If there’s one clear impression I’m getting from the #AMOSfire presenters it’s that there are firefighters behind desks and computers, as well as behind hoses.
