The self serving @POAHCommunities uses Hines as their token to mislead the public abt their plans. Last night they got #ANC8C to vote against historic landmark status of Barry Farm by claiming no development could happen if property were landmarked - a lie.

So last night at #ANC8C a disgraced commissioner implicated in financial fraud and stripped of her ability to manage ANC funds lied to cmty members pertaining to the #BarryFarm bid for historic landmark status, alongside developer @POAHCommunities who also lied.

If you missed last night's #ANC8C meeting I will be sharing a recording today on Congress Heights on the Rise. Regarding the @ODCA_DC claims of "misappropriated" money the former Chair Mary Cuthbert disputed the allegations & called the $15,000 "chump change."

I'M A PETTY PRINCESS - I can't wait until tomorrow's #ANC8C meeting. Old @TheAdvoc8te would have had the @ODCA_DC's report enlarged & mounted on 24x36 boards. Hell, I might to do it now. The community deserves to know everything about this "misappropriated" money. Spill that tea!

@Mike8Austin @AndrewGiambrone @dclinenews @ODCA_DC I just realized the former treasurer who wrote the thousands of dollars in checks to herself is still on the #ANC8C commission. This is what’s so absurd about this entire thing. Not only is there ZERO enforcement you can take money and still keep your seat. 🙄

I agree, very unfortunate yet totally preventable 10 years ago. I’m glad that the new #ANC8C took the time to do the right thing and request an audit but I have to ask, “Is ANC 8C going to file CRIMINAL charges and try to recoup this money? Has anyone contacted @AGKarlRacine?”

@TheAdvoc8te @AndrewGiambrone @dclinenews @ODCA_DC I really appreciate your reporting on this, I went through it all last night. This audit was requested because things just didn’t add up when I saw the accounting. It’s really unfortunate. #ANC8C has new leadership now & will regain the public’s trust.

A LICENSE TO STEAL -- AGAIN. I don't live in #ANC8C anymore but this still gets my goat BECAUSE IT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. Years ago #Ward8 residents pressured the Auditor's office to do an audit & it identified $25k+ was misapproriated, yet no one was ever charged. I can't.🙄
