If you’re at the console and have NO clue how to instruct your staff to troubleshoot issues, you’re in trouble.

Make sure you attend #ascrs19 Wednesday morning’s podium session where @CRCOrlando’s Dr Katherine Foley presents on the #APDCRS #roboticCRS case log data mine which showed some flooring trends of implicit bias. Lots to learn and mitigate.

The @APDSurgery #apdcrs @AmBdSurg and #abcrs are all debating on ways to move towards competency-based matriculation in residency. Same should go for post graduate training in new technology. *How* we do this is far more difficult.
@AmBdSurg To say that the patient’s death was “due to the robot” is a massive overstatement by the coroner. The patient died due to a poorly trained surgeon. Period... I wholeheartedly agree that more structured training for robotics absolutely needed. Ala #apdcrs #colorectalsurgery
