1 non-traumatic back pain: 🚩 no red flags so discharged with a 2 day course of Diazepam.

CCC today:
All the APP resources were already allocated. We needed a Neuro assessment for a patient. Luckily one of our APP team was working a pacesetter shift for their surgery, so we added an extra home visit for him! I love it when a plan comes together. #APPsInPrimaryCare

Whilst carrying out a telephone consultation with my pt an ambulance arrived. This meant I was able to collaborate with our brilliant UCS team and rather than an ED attendance, I referred the pt to our amazing CRT #Teamwork #APPsinPrimaryCare

One of the ways primary care has influenced my ambulance shifts is ICE. Every patient I now specifically ask their ideas, concerns and expectations. I’ve found addressing these can reassure and educate patients resulting in an overall happier patient #APPsinPrimaryCare
Today is my first shift in a run of 5. It’s a 0900-2100 working out of Dobbs Hill covering N.East Wales, but, depending on demand, I could go anywhere! I have another 9-2100, an education morning and two primary care shifts to go!
