That was a wrap at #APTAtransform26! 🎉 What an incredible event, packed with booth visits, hands-on demos, customer meetings, and meaningful connections with industry partners.
@umomobility was buzzing with excitement—our Umo Mascot and, of course, the Umo plushie made quite the impression, and the flexible fare payment platform solution Umo offers sparked great conversations throughout the show.
TruView Central, our new web-based traffic management platform, debuted at APTA, showing how it gives traffic professionals greater visibility into and control over signal operations.
Three prominent themes emerged from the show:
✨ AI and predictive intelligence are becoming more practical in transit operations—improving operational efficiency, demand forecasting, equipment downtime, and ultimately delivering better service reliability and passenger experience.
Our AI-powered ticketing and fare revenue solutions made waves: FEnX fare gates being deployed in cities and FLARE on Bus, our new AI-powered fare evasion detection and analytics tool, were well received and tested by attendees, proving a redefined fare gate experience.
✨ The talks about electrifying transit are now extending beyond the choice of vehicles to include the whole ecosystem, such as infrastructure, charging stations, energy supply, operations, maintenance, and the economics involved in large-scale deployment.
✨ Regional network connectivity and integrated ticketing are advancing, making trips across multiple operators simpler and more coordinated. Chicago demonstrated this beautifully with its public transit design for large-scale events and tap-and-go fare payments across the Ventra system—trains, buses, or commuter rail—making it easy for visitors with one simple tap.
