73 yrs ago today, 11th Jan 1946, Bob Jay, the Mallon crew's former flight engineer, received his final posting, No. 1384 Heavy Transport Conversion Unit, #RAF Ossington, Notts. He worked on the #DouglasDakota, the #AirspeedOxford and the #AvroYork & was demobbed 3 months later.

Today we remember the crew and passengers aboard the Scottish Airlines #AvroYork that crashed in #Malta in 1956.
Many on board were members of the @RoyalAirForce as well as one member of the @BritishArmy.
