Yes! Utah joins the ranks of now 54% of states authorizing NPs to practice advanced nursing they were trained to do—and expanded care to all the underserved in Utah. #welldoneUtah #Access2healthcare
Green looks good on you, Utah! Congrats on becoming 27th state w/ #FullPracticeAuthority for NPs. Thanks @GovCox for signing SB 36! https://t.co/YP0Ml7FpaH.
@stone3Clare @gregfoley2002 'Personal responsibility' is no way to manage *public* health.
Clinically Vulnerable people still need to live their lives and safe #Access2Healthcare or other shared spaces must be a right because we can't always opt out:

In the last 28 days, of 15,121 patients in hospital with Covid-19, 4,680 probably or definitely caught it there (31.0%)

@AlisonGeorge10 @GreatOrmondSt @RCPCHtweets @RCPCHPresident @LaylaMoran @AppgCoronavirus @SalBrinton @LordStras @wesstreeting Making healthcare unsafe is denying both children and adults the care that they do need.
Over time more Clinically Vulnerable people have been squeezed out.

🚨 REPEATING this poll on #Access2Healthcare to get current data 🚨
If you are Clinically Vulnerable have you / would you delay or cancel in person medical appointments due to high Covid risks*?
* (e.g. lack of #MasksInHealthcare / testing / ventilation / high prevalence etc.)
Hospitals without testing or masks are concerning. They currently account for 30% of all infections.
We need safe #Access2Healthcare
As this latest wave kicks off I thought I should revisit the hospital-acquired infection charts.
Testing is sparse; the best guide therefore is the "Percentage Developing" charts - ie the estimated weekly risk of someone catching COVID in hospital (and being tested for it)

@ImogenDempsey39 @jemmaforte @JeremyVineOn5 @channel5_tv @evusheld4theuk Thanks @ImogenDempsey39 there are many issues vulnerable people are struggling with as we have increasingly become excluded from society.
As risks increase our freedoms decrease
#Access2Healthcare
Conflict between #educationANDlives
Safe working environments
#CovidOrphans rising

Much of the increase seems to be people acquiring COVID while in hospital. Likely hospital acquired cases have doubled in a week.
This may be a consequence of routine testing on admission being reduced as this allows COVID to spread more freely in hospitals.
@ShaunLintern @theresecoffey Maybe #MasksInHealthcare?
Advantages include:
Reducing airborne transmission
Improved patient outcomes
Reduced death rate
Reduced staff absences
Allows safe #Access2Healthcare
We have just had a Summer with more excess deaths than '20 or '21.
#CovidIsNotOver #CovidisAirborne

@wesstreeting In June vulnerable people were delaying or cancelling appointments due to high Covid risks in healthcare.
Now asymptomatic testing has been withdrawn (but in place for MRSA and C.Diff).
Severely immunosuppressed still unprotected w/o #Evusheld.

This is a global problem.
