It now calls itself "independent science" but it is still just special interests who mislead to win campaigns.

Science: an attempt at neutral disinterest in the results with the goal of finding the truth.
Activist science: a motivated effort to prove something is so.
Nitpicking? Not really. It's a problem with any issue that people are passionate about: soil health, biodiversity...
The #HeartlandStudy starts with a conclusion, herbicides cause infant health issues, then looks for evidence via urine tests.
With analytic technologies, traces of anything can be found in urine samples but they're paid to find herbicides.
