#Telangana: Students from Left wing student organisations #SFI, #AISF, #PDSU, and #AIDSA staged a protest in #Khairatabad on Tuesday, 21 July, in solidarity with the student protestors at #JantarMantar.
Protesters marching from Khairatabad towards Lok Bhavan were intercepted and forcibly detained by police, who took them to the Asifnagar police station.
Several students were injured while being dragged away by the police. The organisations criticised the detentions as an attack on the constitutional right to peaceful protest.

The All India Dental Students and Surgeons Association (#AIDSA) has suspended dentist Dr. Muskan Soni for five years after she allegedly mocked the death of #Pune businessman #KetanAgarwal in an Instagram Story. In the post, she said, "So guys kya dekh rhi hu mai ki Pune ka jo launda tha uske baal hi nhi they. ab ese jhoot bologey toh marogey hi na. so #ihatemen. 2 admi kya margaye mard samaj mein darr phela hua hai." The story drew criticism on social media for making light of Agarwal's death.
Following the backlash, AIDSA suspended Dr. Soni's membership for five years. She has also issued an apology over the controversial Instagram Story. The association's action comes amid widespread criticism of the remarks, which were perceived as insensitive in the wake of Ketan Agarwal's death.
