Education “was” the key.
Back when the country was begging people to go to school.
When universities had limited seats, not millions chasing admission.
Free education was scalable.
Grade-A accommodation was possible.
Up till #AliMustGo in the late 70s, government fed students three square meals almost for free.
There were more jobs than qualified people.
Jobs waited for graduates.
White-collar roles came with housing plans, cars, stability.
But today…
Millions write UTME yearly.
Graduates flood the market annually.
That old model can never work again.
The key changed.
Education is no longer the master key.
It’s now only a compass that helps you search for your own door.
This shift was predictable.
Not deliberate.
What was deliberate is the mindset capture.
We were raised to believe a degree would transform our lives.
No.
A degree mostly teaches you…
what will NOT transform it.
They told us education is the key.
We got the key.
Now we’re still looking for the door.
SMH.
Ali must go.
Demand a by-election for the people of Bethnal Green and Stepney.
Share if you agree.

Rushanara Ali must resign as MP - not just as minister. Why?
1️⃣ Hypocrite- Pushed renter protections WHILE evicting tenants for profit
2️⃣ Corrupt- Used MP position to profit from housing crisis she was meant to fix
3️⃣ Untrustworthy- Lied about 'following rules' as rents soared £700/month
4️⃣ Failed constituents- Tower Hamlets has 23,000 on housing waitlist while she played landlord

#BREAKING 🚨
Good Morning: My name is Olukemi Olunloyo nickname #DrKemi I am a phenomenal Nigerian 🇳🇬woman who was sexually assaulted at 13yo by approximately 20 men 47 years ago TODAY 4/28/1978 during the #AlimustGo student riots. My father late Victor Omololu Olunloyo fled the scene for his own life leaving my 8yo brother Akintayo Olunloyo with severe brain injury and me losing an eye function rendering me partially blind in one eye all my life and bleeding with 17 vaginal stitches at LUTH💔Throughout my father’s life he twisted the narrative and prevented me from letting the world know that I was injured physically, psychologically and emotionally too. He PAID Oladapo Ogunwusi his spokesman the former editor of @nigeriantribune and @nicholasibekwe of the @PremiumTimesng and notified other media outlets to portray me as MENTALLY UNSTABLE thereby not hiring me, killing my career, opportunities and my reputation in Nigeria. He even helped @PoliceNG set up my arrest on March 14th 2017 by telling them my exact location the morning of the Ibiyeomie persecution arrest. He boasted about it at the NUJ lounge and several journalists told me. Notice the Nigerian Tribune and Premium Times are the only two media outlets who never reported my disowning the family and my outburst on April 7th 2025 that nobody should celebrate him. He lived his life to the fullest torturing and mentally traumatizing his children. Today brings a measure of closure for me because he is no more⚰️🪦Every April 28th I fought my dad for transparency to tell the world. I regret returning to Nigeria for 11 years when he eventually killed my career reducing me to a blogger and digital journalist in my bedroom. I did my best with no salary, no operating budget and always begging for funds from my readers. I could have been bigger in media, politics etc.
Today is the 47th anniversary of the journey of death for our government driver who was struck with a rock, the last day Akintayo would ever walk again and the day I brutally lost my virginity and mental integrity to the hands of rioting UNILAG students and hoodlums. What could have been a big disgrace to him and his political career became my burden for the past 47 years. 5 years later he still continued to run for Governor rather than care for his children. The most intelligent of us Tayo stopped school at 10yo and became a full time invalid. All daddy cared about was his political career and power.
It is easy to say “Forgive and Forget” I cannot forget and Forgiveness is NOT free. I want to thank all Nigerians who are sending me gifts for my medical 🏥 treatment in a psychotherapy retreat in West Africa. It will be posted below in the thread
Daddy Go Well 🕊️💔You ruined my entire life just to preserve yours. I will not be returning to Nigeria for his Oyo/Osun state funeral. I have to heal. My 3 part documentary will be posted today.
My special thanks to a journalist I’ve never met @samomatseye the only journalist and @legitngnews the only media house who bravely wrote about my sexual assault ordeal on April 28th 1978 while others sugar coated it.
Thank you Nigeria🇳🇬

“1978 was a defining moment which explains the presence of the IMF and the World Bank in Nigeria today, it explains the present state of the decadent economy, it explains all the anti-poor policies we have come to know in Nigeria.”
#AliMustGo
#Onthisday April 17th we remember the “Ali Must Go”protests of 1978 in Nigeria which culminated in a massacre of students and others later that year.
MY SIBLINGS HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF MY 1978 SEXUAL ASSAULT💔😞
Yesterday 4/15/25, TWO of my siblings said they had no idea that I was sexually assaulted or lost an eye function in the 1978 #AliMustGo riots until last week when our father died April 6th 2025. They say they were never told possibly because they were too young at the time and as they grew up it had been forgotten since all the spotlight was on Tayo who lost functioning parts of his brain 🧠
This is why my cousins felt I’m making all these allegations up. I was hurt, I was destroyed, I was screaming, I was bleeding 🩸 from my private part, after I was discharged from LUTH, we were all sent back to Ibadan to live with uncles and aunts and I got no therapy, no psychology support, NOTHING. I marked an X on my photo with daddy as I felt he endangered me his so call favorite daughter. Daddy fled the scene abandoning Tayo and I in the burning car with the wrath of the protesters and hoodlums. The other kids were in the FGN car behind is and managed to escape as he helped them. Why did he abandon us?
After I became very rude and defiant at the Sodeinde’s house, my late aunt (Fmr Oyo state Atty Gen Seun Abimbola’s mom) could not take it anymore. They sent me to boarding house at St Teresa’s college for the rest of my secondary school. While I was in boarding house, I was punished a lot because I always WET the bed. I was dehumanized and stigmatized being told to carry my double decker mattress on my head while kneeling in the sun for hours and missing classes. All the other girls laughed at me. I will be late to assembly and class because of washing my beddings. I will become sad and depressed. On Sunday when parents visit their girls with provisions, cooked meals and brought their siblings I had no visitors. I stayed back in the dormitory. My dad never visited as he was in Lagos working at NSTDA the appointment he took from General Obasanjo that we were all traveling to Lagos to settle for when we ran into the rioters April 28th 1978. My mom had travelled with Tayo to several countries to seek treatment for his paralysis. They were in Philippines 🇵🇭 at that time. My dad became alcoholic and he would drink beer 🍺 and wine 🍷 to a stupor. The government later changed in 1979 and Obasanjo was gone, Shagari was President. In 1983 he went on to move us back to Ibadan and ran for governor. Many people didn’t understand why? His family was badly damaged from this attack but it was always about him. My dad was a narcissist, he fought Ajimobi his cousin to the last days as governor because he didn’t give him an appointment, Ajimobi told him that he was too old. He forced Akala to give him a PDP appointment but he got no appointment for me despite having three First Class degrees. It was always about him. He however got Funke an appointment as Special Adviser for Education in the Ajimobi government.
By the time I was 17 in the UK 🇬🇧 it was a medical doctor that told me I was fingered in my vagina all the way to my urethra which controls the kidneys and passage of urine and that is why I was a CHRONIC BEDWETTER. I counted 20 men stick their hands in my private part. I bled heavily. My records in LUTH are gone, doctors had retired or passed away and a gynecologist in Oxford, UK where I was studying A levels gave me Desmopressin and Ditropan. These are bed wetting drugs. Today at almost 61, I still struggle with another form of incontinence which comes with age. I wear incontinence pads when I go out to avoid peeing on myself especially when there is no bathroom 🚽 around. This is why Davido’s 2018 tweet hurt me so much and I could not let go or forgive him as he was not remorseful with an apology after 7 years. I wet the bed till I was 20yo and stopped taking Ditropan when I got pregnant at 22yo in 1986.

It’s not “just” hatred for polygamy you Ronke friends. Ronke was not in the picture when the 1978 #AlimustGo riot event happened. She was a 16yo walking to school with my older sister. Try cheating on your wife then endangering your children. Pray “this Kemi Olunloyo story” doesn’t happen to your daughter or granddaughter. 20
men sexually assaulted me.

The same year he raised Fela’s house and had his mom thrown from the third floor to her death. Mrs Funlayo Kuti was in a coma and never woke up again. I was 13yo that year the year of the #Alimustgo riots and my brother and I were very injured in that govt car. “The Labour of our heroes past was in vain”

DO NOT POST GIFS IN THE COMMENTS‼️‼️‼️
One of the reasons I close comments is because I hate Graphic Image format GIF
It distorts my eyes. After the #Alimustgo riots of 1978, I lost an optic nerve at 13yo and thus why I blink 50 times a minute when I’m doing a video. Iyabo Ojo and some of you joke about that.
IT’S NOT FUNNY😡😡😡
Gifs especially moving ones can trigger a seizure for me. I’m an elderly woman and don’t need it. Only Instagram has done something about it. You can turn off GIFS in comments. Facebook and X needs to do the same.

If you're curious about #Magic, look no further than #Ethiopians who've witnessed the enchanting transformation of their leader, @AbiyAhmedAli, from #Moses, #TheTranscendent, to #Pharaoh, #TheTyrant.
#AliMustGo

Before @AbiyAhmedAli’s era, Ethiopian leaders' words aligned with their actions, and vice versa. Abiy's leadership introduces a different level of immaturity, leaving us questioning if he truly comprehends the consequences of his actions.
#AliMustGo

Surprisingly, @AbiyAhmedAli alleges to be the champion of African unity, yet he couldn't unite #Ethiopia. Calling him a leader is a stretch when he deploys drones against his own people - paid for by those he's killing! The irony of it all is nothing short of baffling.

#Hundeyinarticle At 14 I was hospitalized in LUTH after the famous #AlimustGo riots that claimed my 8yo brother’s brain function and was paralyzed for life. I suffered several injuries not move to America. Hundeyin’s investigation here is incorrect information.

My brother Akintayo Olunloyo who suffered injuries alongside me in the 1978 #AliMustGo riots DIED 48 hrs ago. I just found out online. No member of my family could even notify me. I will be offline until further notice to mourn his passing. Pls read clips below💔

@BUKAdebayo By 1978, things were unraveling, buses had broken down, the hostel rooms were oversubscribed and the toilets overflowing. Lack of demographic planning. Then Obasanjo stopped the subsidies. We could no longer buy food for 25k and beer for 50k. The #AliMustGo riots happened.
Can we turn this to a physical protest? Seems the online is not touching their body
Just like #Alimustgo #PantamiResignNow
My brother Akintayo Olunloyo was maimed for life at 8yo during the #Alimustgo riots of 1978. It was students protesting increase of tuition across the nation and Unilag protesters at 7pm were infiltrated with hoodlums. They blended in attacked our car and Tayo had a brain injury

Hold @mbuhari responsible
for death or injury of protesters by sponsored thugs. Below is the letters and cards OBJ and IBB sent to my 8yo brother now
50 after we were attacked on Ikorodu rd April 28th 1978 at 7pm as we drove into Lagos riots in a FGN car #Alimustgo
#EndSARS
A WARNING TO ALL THUGS ATTACKING #EndSARS protesters. This is how #Alimustgo started April 28th 1978 and my brother lost part of his brain at 8yo.
