Friends, it's time for the 20th annual #AllFitt Team - an entirely subjective list of my favorite players to cover in 2026. Lots of undersized grinders and outsized personalities on this squad, which is captained by @WVUBaseball dynamo Armani Guzman:

2-way guy Steven Smith has been @AppBaseball's top performer in game 2 vs ECU: 3-for-3, 2 doubles and 2 RBIs at the plate, showed athleticism at shortstop, and worked a scoreless 6th, attacking at 90-91 with a solid slider. One of several 5-foot-8-ish #AllFitt grinder types here.
My biggest regret of the summer is that @JoeHealyD1 found this guy before I could see him. Tomii is an early lock for the 2026 #AllFitt team: 5-foot-7 RHP, so much fun to watch. Uses a long pause in his leg lift, tons of funk and pitchability. Keeping Chatham off balance tonight.
Unique look here for incoming @HawaiiBaseball RHP Tsubasa Tomii for @harborhawks. He throws the kitchen sink at batters and his best pitch is a nasty sweeper that spins at 3,000 rpm and has 20 inches of horizontal break.
As former Liberty head coach and current UNC assistant Scott Jackson reminded me - I've been a Kane Kepley fan since the first time I saw him in the @CPLBaseball. Which other players ranked among my favorites to cover in 2025? Here's the full #AllFitt team list.
"This is how you draw up an All-Fitt teamer: a 5-foot-8, 180-pound stick of dynamite with toughness galore and a lovable personality to match."
Congrats to @DiamondHeels center fielder @KaneKepley on making @aaronfitt's All-Fitt Team!
Ryley Johnson of @ECUBaseball is an #AllFitt team lock. What a warrior. Incredibly thoughtful, genuine and articulate postgame thoughts. Have always respected how hard he has played through so many injuries. Will miss watching him at ECU.
Quick response from @UTSABSB. Roadrunners answer ECU's 4-run first with 4 of their own in T2 to regain the lead, 5-4. Hit machine Mason Lytle has 2 more hits and 2 more runs tonight. @JoeHealyD1 told me he'd be an #AllFitt team lockโand he was right. Super fun 5-foot-10 baller.
I'm adding @UCLABaseball leadoff man Dean West to the #AllFitt team watch list. My kind of guy, a quick-twitch 5-10 spark plug with a compact stroke, a quiet approach, feel for the barrel and good speed. He's reached safely in all 3 trips today; his 2B leads to a run in 5th. 4-2.
@mikefay @UCIbsb @BigWestBaseball Well said, Mike! Ben Orloff is pure class, and an Anteater through and through. Great to see an early alumnus of the #AllFitt team go on to do great things as a college coach!
Here's Bear Jones towering over perennial #AllFitt 3B coach Josh Jordan, after Jones cranked a 2-run double to LCF, turning on a 3-2 FB way off outside corner for a 101 mph liner. Jones is giving me Paul Goldschmidt vibes. Maybe Frank Thomas. Huge power, impressive feel to hit.
You can probably go ahead and pencil in @KStateBSB's 5-foot-8 second baseman Shintaro Inoue on the #AllFitt team - guy is a baller. Filled up the stat sheet in juco ball, and he's been a really tough out this weekend, barrel after barrel. 3 hits today and a 110 mph lineout.
Definitely adding @HailStateBB's Dakota Jordan to the #AllFitt team Watch List - have always loved his explosive power/speed tool set, and he was a blast to watch this weekend, played with passion. Also a great post game interview, thoughtful and charismatic.
There's #AllFitt teamer Quinn Mathews going to #StLCardinals in round 4. Love this dude -- super fun personality, very thoughtful about his craft. My favorite interview subject of 2023. Here's a piece I wrote about him in May:

Congrats to 2022 #AllFitt team righty Matthew Marchal for latching on with @ClemsonBaseball. Great pickup for the Tigers, this guy is a winner.
As one door closes, another door opens! With that being said, Iโm excited to announce my commitment to continue my academic and baseball career @WoffordBaseball Thanks to Coach Interdonato, Coach Voltz, and entire baseball staff for this opportunity. #ConquerAndPrevail
#AllFitt team candidate Danny Crossen with yet another two-out single for @GoNUbaseball, extending his on-base streak to 60 games. Man is he a good player.
Northeastern and Maryland still tied 2-2 in the 5th.
Cam Cannarella has just about sewn up an #AllFitt team spot this weekโwhat a joy to watch him play defense in center, motor around the bases, and rip lasers all over the field. The @ClemsonBaseball freshman is 6-foot, 175, and just crushed a 421-foot HR to RF, 108 EV. Twitchy!
If you don't love Rikuu Nishida, that just means you haven't seen the Ducks play this year. #AllFitt team lock.
Sabin Ceballos provides fire and passion. Rikuu Nishida brings unbridled joy.
Together, the international duo has helped put @OregonBaseball back in line to make a regional: https://t.co/aLBFNP141i
#AllFitt team staple Lane Hoover delivers in the clutch. Of course he does.
