@AlohaEducators A3: I would have students work on material I have not taught yet. Let them try, sometimes fail and sometimes succeed. This showed them it was okay to fail, and that they are more capable than they think they are. #AlohaEducators

@AlohaEducators A2: Excellence and Equity. Set a high standard worth achieving, and inform students that they will have to work hard to achieve that goal, and I as their teacher will work just as hard, if not harder, to help get them there. #AlohaEducators

I felt my heart expand after reading this tweet by @LagpacanMr. How fortunate our children are to have teachers like him, who celebrate & nurture kindness & community. @HIDOE808 #808educate #alohaeducators

A1: As a Christian in faith, especially during Christmas, lately I've been thinking about how to be inclusive in the classroom. Instead I've moved towards a season of kindness. Our door decorating contest entry always focuses on peace and kindness. #alohaeducators #808educate

A2: A major "brick wall" is ourselves. How can we teach kindness if we as adults and educators do not practice kindness? I am on this journey along with my haumana. I am not the teacher but rather we are all haumana navigating through life. #alohaeducators #808educate

A3: I am on a personal journey discovering what Aloha truly means. Aloha means so much more than kindness. It is a way of being and living your life. Sharing our HĀ with each other. A total mindshift from the Western way of life. #Alohaeducators #808educate
