If you’re beating yourself up because of your own mental health struggles — give yourself some grace. There is no shame in experiencing suicidal crisis. Many of us have been there. We should not let other people’s opinions of what that means stop us from talking about it.
The things many people think help — simply don’t. I urge you to listen to those of us who have survived our own attempts. Learn more about the Alternatives to Suicide (#Alt2Su) approach. And stop forcing psychiatric treatment on us.

I prefer survivor-led approaches like #Alt2Su & eCPR, and the SA Just Listening community.
