For our #ArchivePath I've chosen an 1882 book published by LR Surveyor Charles Jordan. Fed up with struggling to navigate the Thames yards he created 'Jordan's Particulars of Docks, Wharves and Companies on the Thames.' A very handy guide! #Archive30 #archives #heritage #history

For #Archive30 day 3 (3 days late) this is the #ArchivePath at the moment since the archive is currently boxed and in our shed and ready for our move North that the current events have put on hold

When I started this Twitter account as a volunteer researcher armed with no credentials apart from a passion for history & learning about where I live.
I was blown away by how welcoming and inclusive #History Twitter is.
So many amazing accounts to guide me on my #ArchivePath.

For another take on an #ArchivePath, we bring you handwritten route maps from Ringling Bros. Planning an effective path could make or break a circus season and these documents are drawn and annotated in breathtaking (and minuscule!) detail.

Here's my story:
I went from teaching art to a fellowship in museum education, followed by a job as adult and docent programs coordinator. The research involved made me realize I wanted to work more directly with collections.

There are a lot of different paths into the archives field--just hang out at an archivist conference and there are probably as many different career stories as there are people in the room.

Even in black-and-white, there's no mistaking the beauty of this popular path to Ballou. Most of our images of this iconic pathway shows people walking down - in this one, students are climbing up. (Image: https://t.co/Ph7VuDqqdD) #Archive30 #ArchivePath #tuftsuniversity
