My brain just thought (dangerous) that I wonder do a lot of women get BPD diagnosis instead of autism or just trauma because we are likeable.
And autism is seen stereotypically as people who are anti social. But BPD is seen as charming 🙄

As soon as I got the diagnosis everything became them avoiding me.
It’s actually interesting You mention avoidant as after chemo I became fight instead of flight. Suddenly I am BPD. Maybe those with fight get BPD and flight get cptsd. Ignoring #AutismNotPD and complex trauma.
The whole supposed difference between BPD and #cPTSD is that folk with a BPD label are a bit more up+ down and often disliked by professionals, and cPTSD patients have a flatter more avoidant presentation. Even forgetting construct/ethical problems with BPD, that is ridiculous.
Could I point out that people are now able to realise they dont have BPD because of the unpaid unappreciated labour of the survivor movement introducing #AutismNotPD #CptsdNotPD #BipolarNotPD #PMDDNotPD #ADHDNotPD at least a decade before profs who are now slowly coming on board.
@Shrink_at_Large @parochena @SnarkBadger @em_doapsi @Buglet333 i did 2 years of group dbt and every single person i did this group dbt with has since realised they don’t actually have bpd. i’ve heard cases of someone having a meltdown the police called and she spoke on the phone for 10 mins to a doctor who slapped her with bpd!
Can we also tell the EUPD/BPD psychiatrists in the uk that put that diagnosis on every woman in services to
