Fire Minister: "We will see wider reform of how we ensure buildings are safe; there will be the biggest overhaul of fire safety in a generation." #AutumnConf
Fire Minster: "I do want to see reform; based on three pillars - people, professionalism and governance. #AutumnConf
Sir Tom Winsor: I will be writing to all involved in the SoF recommendations with new completion dates. I firmly believe each recommendation is valid and should be done. Without reform the sector will continue to be beset by barriers. We need to seize opportunities. " #AutumnConf
Sir Tom Winsor: "I said in State of Fire that reform is necessary; I have not changed my mind. There needs to be a fundamental reassessment of flexibility and mechanisms. Short term financial settlements are not conducive to planning" #AutumnConf
