This is the deliberate militarization and radicalization of society by a regime that knows that the vast majority of Iranians reject their rule. ⚪️ The Basij has long functioned as the regime’s street militia, used to crush protests, intimidate civilians, and enforce ideological control. ⚪️ The regime increasingly treats ordinary Iranian protesters and dissidents as “enemy elements” and internal threats rather than citizens with rights. ⚪️ That is why much of this training is not truly about foreign defense. It is about preparing loyalist forces for internal repression, crackdowns, and the violent suppression of Iranians demanding freedom and dignity. ⚪️ While ordinary Iranians struggle with inflation, corruption, poverty, and repression, the regime pushes guns, indoctrination, and perpetual conflict instead of peace and prosperity.
