@RickSacrop @Carti_Mandua We were repeatedly told £1.75m was the going rate for Lineker to front programmes that would literally be watched by the same number of people without a presenter. Now it seems he’s been overpaid by £400k pa for years. Are those responsible to be sacked or promoted? #bbcpay

The BBC seems to think they have to pay these ludicrous salaries to recruit “talent.” It’s nonsense. How about they travel outside of North London, outside of the cosy chumocracy of the media world and hire some new genuinely talented people on a fraction of the cost. #bbcpay

No need for #BBC to pay these crazy salaries. A max salary of £175K would still be massive pay for anybody. There's an endless supply of talent desperate to be on TV who would be happy with that amount. They can earn more from outside engagements. #bbcpay
