Mothers (over 30 different hospitals) report a problem with ‘enforced privacy’ while breastfeeding (& the accompanying shame). Curtains being closed on them mid-conversation and not ONE example of a pump designated for paediatrics. Dr Lyndsey Hookway at #bfconf
Thousands of studies of skin-to-skin for babies and in maternity. Not ONE on skin-to-skin in a paediatric setting. The myths get thrown at parents (“they’ll get too hot”) and they have nothing to combat it. #bfconf
