Nolberto Solano on his first night on the lash with Newcastle teammates Steve Howey & Duncan Ferguson 😂🗣
“They called themselves ‘The Heavyweights’. They came up to me and said, ‘Hey little Peruvian, fancy a pint?’
Of course I said yes — I’m sociable!
In Peru, we share one bottle of beer between everyone with little glasses. But these lads took me to the Pitcher & Piano and it was bang, bang, bang — pints disappearing in minutes.
We went to the next bar… then the next. At one point they ordered whiskey and I was panicking — ‘No no no, no mixing! Only beer!’
I was absolutely mullered.
We finally came out and it was dark. My watch said 4 o’clock, so I phoned my ex-wife in a panic to apologise for being out so late.
‘I’m so sorry, I didn’t realise the time…’
She replied, ‘What are you talking about?’
I thought it was 4am. It was 4pm.
That was my welcome to Newcastle.”

🏌️🏆 PGA Championship winner, Aaron Rai on why he uses iron covers: “I grew up in very much a working-class family, and golf has always been a very expensive game. I started from the age of 4 years old, and my dad used to pay for the equipment, pay for my memberships, my entry fees. And it wasn't money that we really had, to be honest, but he'd always buy me the best clubs.
When I was about seven or eight years old, (my dad) bought me a set of Titleist 690 MBs, and they were like 800-1,000 pounds back then, just for a set of clubs for a kid. I cherished them. When we used to go out and practice, he used to clean every single groove afterward with a pin and with baby oil.
Although on the PGA Tour, we get given equipment, and we get given everything that we need, it's more out of principle. The value of not losing perspective of what I have and where I am. The covers are going to stay, I'm sorry."
🚨 BREAKING: José Mourinho back to Real Madrid, HERE WE GO! 💣🤍

@ScotExpress Who from SpFL / SFA will survive this. Liewell clean out. We now have at Rangers the expertise to see this happen. There should be a root and branch review of all Scot Football governance. And it must be truly independent. Rangers, Hearts and Motherwell must push this.
Just readSPFL comments on yesterday
On calling game off that’s not enough
Ref needs to interviewed and explain / confirm he did not call game short
Which to be fair I’d understand why and have no issues
SPFL can’t hide behind this
Do these guys never learn
I’d also suggest Gary Neville vs Chris Sutton
Both clearly fans of their respective clubs
One can be fair one not
Sutton would be better suited on Celtic TV
He must be worried about his football credibility or is he so arrogant
My thoughts exactly. We have had some incredible ref incompetence this season. Sure a few have went for us but bad> good. Yet we have been brought into it all as terrible 2. Fans / Refs nothing to do with us. Club needs to be absolutely clear on it.
I’m not quite sure how this will be our fault, but I admit I’m looking forward to seeing how the SFACelticSPFL* spin that it is.
*no need to delete as applicable, it’s the same thing.
A scarcely believable finish 😲
Igor Arrieta crashed, went the wrong way and had to save a second crash before eventually prevailing against fellow escapee Afonso Eulálio in a truly remarkable ending to Giro d’Italia Stage 5.

Out of the 30 fastest 100-meter sprint times in history, only nine were run by athletes with completely clean doping records. All nine of those times belong to Usain Bolt.
In a sport repeatedly tarnished by doping scandals, Bolt’s achievements become even more remarkable. While top competitors like Justin Gatlin and Asafa Powell served suspensions for performance-enhancing drugs, Bolt consistently delivered elite performances with an unblemished testing record.
His dominance is not limited to individual events. Bolt achieved the legendary “triple-triple,” winning gold in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay at three consecutive Olympic Games — Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio 2016.
By outperforming athletes suspected or proven to have used banned substances while relying solely on natural talent, Bolt has become far more than a record holder. He stands as a global icon and the ultimate symbol of clean sport in track and field.
