Can the #SBC know the churches and number of messengers sent from each church to the annual meeting? Since the #SBC will not enforce the #BFM2000, and a small minority prevents the codifying of complimentarianism in the bylaws, messengers need this data for us to be a convention.

Paedobaptism is every bit as contrary to the #BFM2000 as is female pastors. Something to keep in mind when the *Presbyterian* @AmReformer a.k.a. @BaptistLeaders talks about “confessionalism”. #SBC25

So let me get this straight: While the #sbc25 is debating confessional fidelity to the #BFM2000 on matters like female pastors, @williamwolfe of @BaptistLeaders is calling the BFM2000 on religious liberty as “unchristian”. Wolfe is just as anti-confessional as @RickWarren.

The #BFM2000 and the current constitution already stipulate the right of the #SBC to fence participation in its decision-making process. The Law Amendment clarifies this fact but does not establish it. Rejecting it will only add confusion about our position and our polity.

Article II of the #BFM2000 states, "The eternal, triune God revealed himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit." Watch below as Elsy Shuford reads the full article and @ryangriffith teaches on its significance in our "We Believe" series. #sbc https://t.co/keXr5Cp3Ba

As a way to honor our Baptist heritage and to serve the entire SBC, we can’t wait to share our new We Believe project that unpacks the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. Here’s a preview from SBU President @RickMelson https://t.co/6fshMkWDfq

Are we going to kick some State Conventions out that do not subscribe to the #BFM2000? Because they all dont.

#SBC pastors, appeal to Scripture instead of the #BFM2000. Scripture alone is our final and total authority. The Baptist Faith & Message can (and most likely will) be edited to support unbiblical/sinful behavior. The Word never changes.

@TomBuck The only lack of clarity was self-imposed. The Bible is not unclear & neither is the #BFM2000. Those saying #SBC shouldn't govern those churches; we're not removing their leaders, but we're removing them from fellowship. They can still operate as they wish, just not with us.

There is no room for Open Theism in the BFM 2000: "God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures." - Article 2 #BFM2000 #OpenTheism

And...I'd bet cigars or CFA shakes that most elder/pastor/overseeer/visioncaster/honcho/leaddawgs in #SBC churches think you have to positively affirm the #bfm2000 to be a cooperating church. You don't. Plaudits to @AdamGreenway from a distance. I wasn't there.

I am not at the #SBC2022, but is anyone making a motion for there to no longer be the title of Lead Pastor? Plurality of Elders with equality is the way! It also makes the #BFM2000 less confusing when it says "the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture."

Debate going on at the #SBC22 on credentials committee report regarding Saddleback Church and the meaning of "pastor". Appeals to #BFM2000 6 on church: "Its scriptural officers are pastors and deacons." Some churches also have pastors, elders, and deacons. Are they in violation?
