This time last year we were packing up after fieldwork on #BGSKnightonMap. I don't think any of us expected that to be our last trip for a whole year!

Weve had a very productive if exhausting day today, trying to find the top of the Knucklas Castle Formation, and the highest contour in the Radnor hills, on the #BGSKnightonMap

Perfect field work weather on the #BGSKnightonMap. Yep, that's snow and I'm presently hiding under a tree! On the plus side, my new hat appears to be keeping my head dry! 😀

I'm at BGS HQ today catching up with the #BGSKnightonMap team before we next head out in the field in February. I got to meet our new director @k_hanghoj on the bus this morning and very nice she is too! :-)

I wonder what treasure I might find at the end of this rainbow? I think it's going to be Knuclas Castle Formation! Another productive day doing fieldwork on the #BGSKnightonMap

These unassuming outcrops at Stanner-Hanter near Old Radnor are some of the oldest in Wales at a little over 700 million years old! It's amazing what you can find working on the #BGSKnightonMap @BritGeoSurvey @BGSWales

Today marks the last day of fieldwork (but just for now!) on the #BGSKnightonMap with @BGSWales. I think I might be falling in love with Radnorshire ❤. Thanks to @Leannes_space, Rowan and Phil W for a great couple of weeks in the field! See you again in the autumn.
