At that point his tumor was completely operable and he was going home after. You are buying as much time with your parent as possible. Obviously if they’re dying in a few days then yes. Who cares what they eat. But in this situation we wanted a successful surgery and then to see if we could prevent a tumor from coming back. Hence-real food only. No sugar. Prevent inflammation. Starve the cancer. He ended up dying not because his tumor grew back, but because his heart failed. On top of brain cancer he had suffered multiple heart attacks plus type two diabetes. Why? A lifetime of eating essentially only ultra processed food and being addicted to soda. Food can be medicine or it can be poison. Don’t let what happened to my family happen to yours. Eat. Real. Food.
