@Tim_van_Hasselt @NEJMEvidence @sainath_raman @ESPNIC_Society @BritSPED Saline still needed for #TBI #PyloricStenosis etc. Saline bashing in #SoMe is disproportionate to available evidence, but its difficult to argue against signal for #BalancedFluids being better. Cost, compatibility with other drugs, preparations, SOPs to add addl K matter

@Tim_van_Hasselt @NEJMEvidence @sainath_raman For me the issue of harm with saline has not been settled fully (agreed). But complete lack of harm with balanced fluids in nearly all trials. Some signal for benefit in many trials. @ESPNIC_Society @BritSPED etc. all recommending inclusion of #BalancedFluids. #PedsICU
