Customer from Edinburgh changed all his Scottish bank notes to Bank of England thinking that was the safest bet. He then ends up at ours 😱

Had to bar someone for sliding into our DMs uninvited. They lectured us that our Bank of England #BanknoteBan was unnecessary as anyone who didn’t get their NI notes accepted in England only had themselves to blame for not being adequately prepared by having BoE notes 🙄

Furious row with @SubwayUK shop after they refused to take my NI banknote . Apparently , they are not “trained” to take them in England . I offered my driving licence as ID. Still wouldn’t hand over the sandwich. Literally had the NI note thrown back at me .

It was like I was trying to withdraw £10k cash from @SubwayUK English store last night. I had handed over my driver licence , had the £20 note laboriously inspected & they still refused to take it. Refused to hand over sandwich. Mad
And as if the whole #belfastbooksbybike and #banknoteban wasn’t enough to occupy even a large business, a tiny business in a parlour house in a north Belfast ghetto has released an extra 20 tickets and nearly sold this #AskOlgaAQEGL event out within 3 days. Thanks to you lot 👏🏽
In case you think we’ve forgotten about the #banknoteban lobby, we haven’t. Mr Books is actively lobbying the British Retail Federation and large GB businesses. He’s heading to London next Tuesday on his own dime to progress matters.
Comical #banknoteban story from customer at our shop today. Local guy gets taxi in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne - meter shows £15. Our guy tries to pay with Ulster Bank £20. Taxi driver refuses our money and takes £5 odd in coins instead. 😂😂😂
