Prior to the 2023 general election, it was rare; almost unheard of to see any #BATists or @OfficialAPCNg supporters in this space descend into the daily gutter of insults and constant abuse against @PeterObi in the manner his own followers routinely directed at @officialABAT. His supporters comfortably busied themselves with noise, mockery, self-deception, and the habitual attack of anyone who refused to align with them, most especially Pres Tinubu who their principal was in contest with then. Throughout that period, BATists remained largely disciplined and focused on a single objective: delivering their principal which they succeeded in it. The insults hurled at them and their candidate, which were meant to weaken them, only hardened their resolve. What was intended as a weapon against them became their source of strength. Ironically, all of this happened despite the fact that the candidate their opponents were rooting for Peter Obi was by every serious political measure, the weakest in the race, intellectually shallow, politically hollow, riddled with flaws and burdened by a record that offered little beyond recycled excuses and moral posturing. After the election and Pres Tinubu’s victory, the arrogance only grew. Having grown comfortable attacking others without consequence during the campaign, they assumed they could continue enjoying the same lawless freedom. But once the BATists had achieved their mission, the tables turned. Every attack they launched was returned with multiplied force. Only then did reality set in: the hunters had become the hunted. Now they parade themselves as victims, crying for vindication and pretending innocence, even as the world has already seen through their hypocrisy. What remains has been exposed for what it truly is; empty outrage from people who can dish it out, but cannot take it.

To the #Obidients or whatever name you give yourself, if you think that swarming the Eagle Square will stop the inauguration then you justify the #Obidiots tag given by #BATists. It is not about the usual yeye threat by the @HQNigerianArmy and other law enforcement agencies when Nigerians want to utilize their right to assembly, it is you thinking that it is only the Eagle Square that inauguration can hold. There is no law stipulating that it must be there. @officialABAT, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, @KashimSM etc will just gather in the EXCO chambers of #AsoRock and swear him in! They can even do it at the Defense House! If the idea is stopping it, ahh, una good luck. If the idea is to disrupt, and make a point that this is the most unpopular President (s)elect in history, then, you have a good point.
