Last year, I had the honor of meeting Jason and Mandy Hughes after the passing of their son, Carson, whose beautiful artwork won the Congressional Art Competition was displayed in the U.S. Capitol. They shared with me a #BeLikeCarson bracelet, and I’ve worn it every day since. This week, I was deeply humbled to return Carson’s winning photo, “Breakfast Time”, to Jason and Mandy along with a book of the many places I carried Carson’s spirit with me over the past year. It has been a daily reminder of Carson’s faith, light, creativity, positive outlook and the impact he continues to have. Though I never knew Carson, I feel l know a little more of him and the blessing he was to so many through Jason and Mandy.

Our season comes to an end with a 4-1 loss to @WaldronSports in the first round of Sectional. We finished the year with a record of 13-10. Thank you to all the players, coaches, and parents who made it possible. We will be back next year! 💙🦅⚾️ ##BeLikeCarson #LLCH #OnceAnEagle
