#BEEI | Ms Inathi Bindiza, National Training Coordinator, highlights the programme’s impact in empowering young people to thrive professionally and personally. Participants gain valuable skills that open doors to employment, further studies, and entrepreneurial ventures. Many enter the education sector as educators or administrators, demonstrating the programme’s measurable outcomes.
She shares inspiring examples, such as the chapel programme in the Eastern Cape, where young people start their own businesses. Participants apply their skills within their communities, creating opportunities for themselves while supporting other young people. The programme not only strengthens their current roles but also equips them with lasting skills that continue to benefit them beyond the training.

@DBE_SA I'm really frustrated with the BEEI program. It feels like a humiliating experience for many young people in South Africa. The payment delays, lack of support, and uncertainty make it hard to feel valued.

By investing in our youth, we are investing in the future leaders, innovators, and educators of South Africa.
Our commitment is clear: every learner deserves access to quality education supported by a strong, well-resourced team. Through partnerships between National Treasury, the Independent Development Corporation, and our Provincial Education Departments, we are driving real, sustainable change.
