#BEEI | Day one of the Basic Education Employment Initiative (BEEI) Phase V Close-Out Meeting is currently underway in uMhlanga, KZN.
The two-day engagement, which concludes tomorrow brings together key stakeholders to review the programme’s design and its alignment with basic education priorities, while reflecting on achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Discussions are focused on strengthening programme implementation, including refining targeting criteria, reviewing the duration and timing of placements, improving recruitment and vetting processes, and reinforcing measures to prevent fraud. The meeting further aims to clarify the roles and responsibilities of partners, such as schools, while enhancing accountability and strengthening systems for handling disputes and appeals.

EAs are really taken for a ride here. This is sooo inhumane and unethical.

The President expressed how impressed he is by the skills that these young South Africans are displaying to other young children in the schools they are deployed at.
