Über die Jahrtausende haben sich einige sinnvolle Verbindungen zwischen Tier und Mensch entwickelt. Manche, wie Hunde, sind vollständig domestiziert. Katzen haben sich das zumindest zum Teil gefallen lassen und die jahrtausendelange Beziehung zwischen Pferden und Mensch muss ich hier nicht weiter ausführen.
Es scheint als wäre es für diese Tiere von Vorteil nicht nur in der Nähe von Menschen zu leben, sondern von diesem auch zu profitieren und teilweise mit ihm unter einem Dach zu leben.
Das muss aber gar nicht sein. Was wenn ich euch sagen würde, dass es Tiere gibt die mit uns arbeiten ohne bei/mit uns zu wohnen?
Das Tier im Bild ist ein sog. "Honiganzeiger". Genau genommen ist es eine Familie von Vögeln - in diesem Fall der "Große Honiganzeiger". Warum heißt der so?
Gute Frage!
Der Honiganzeiger lebt in Afrika, z.B. in Mozambique oder Kenia. Er ernährt sich allerdings gar nicht von Honig, aber das Bienenwachs findet er interessant.
Und hier kommt der Mensch ins Spiel.
Der Honiganzeiger kann logischerweise besser Bienennester erstöbern als ein Mensch. Dummerweise kommt er aber häufig schlecht an die Nester ran. Dafür lockt er die dort lebenden Menschen mit auffälligem Flugverhalten und einen ganz bestimmten Ton an.
Wenn der Mensch ihm folgt, zeigt der Honiganzeiger dem Menschen wo Honig zu finden ist. Der Mensch, im Gegensatz zum Vogel, kommt an die Nester ran und macht so das Bienenwachs für den Honiganzeiger zugänglich.
Und der Mensch? Der bekommt Honig und muss nicht ewig in der Prärie suchen.
Quasi eine Win-Win Situation. Und wie gesagt, der Honiganzeiger ist nicht domestiziert. Der lebt ganz normal in der Natur und hat von sich aus entschieden den Menschen um Hilfe zu bitten.
Dino und Mensch quasi vereint 🦖
