We still work toward getting more engineering content into the curriculum to both expose students to engineering concepts and prepare them for college if they choose that route. #BlackinEngineeringEd #BlackInSTEMEd
Outside of school, #EngineeringEd is broad. Activities like robotics, solar race cars, bridge building, circuits and other design based experiences are available in places like museums, after school programs, summer camps, toys & organizations like @NSBEPCI #BlackInengineeringed
The @OfficialNGSS include engineering concepts and most often, we see those skills taught by and with our colleagues in math and science classes. #BlackinEngineeringEd
Engineering education practice in K12 happens in the classroom and outside of it. Teaching what are considered engineering skills show up in formal school activities like engineering design and the application of science and math to real world problems.
