Now Prof @ReyerZwiggelaar of Aberystwyth Uni on thermal imaging of faces to spot differences between lying & truth-telling due to physiology. Also, thermal wristbands data that can help tell emotions & what people are doing or watching online. #bprofiling
A couple of academics from Cardiff University just presented on computer analysis of CCTV footage to detect fights in crowds, eg via arc movements of punches/kicks. Machine learning on ice-hockey fights footage! Q: would dancing at carnivals be a false positive? #bprofiling

Applications of super recognisers include airport e-gate failures: some border staff are no better than flipping a coin 50/50 at matching face to passport photo. Also need diverse recognisers: racial bias ("people of other races all look the same") #bprofiling
Mick Neville of SRI @recognisers: 'Super Recognisers' are people who visually match photos of the same suspects/criminals/victims from searchable database of CCTV images. Matched one suspect to 14 crimes, another to 43, his network linked to 100. #bprofiling
@nickglynn conclusions from his talk on #StopAndSearch in UK NL BE FR SP: unfettered use is counterproductive; reasonable grounds mitigate against religious/racial profiling, but insufficient on their own; need more data. #bprofiling
