our submission for #buildwhatmovesindia by @waitin4agi and @OpenAI.
we started by trying to understand what actually happens after an indian citizen loses money to cyber fraud.
we spoke to people who had experienced fraud, other stakeholders in the process like RMOs, bank managers, cyber officers, and police, to understand the real-world process of reporting, freezing funds, and pursuing recovery.
what we found was a fragmented journey across banks, UPI apps, cybercrime authorities, and police, with the victim often left figuring out what to do next.
trana is our attempt to put that journey into one coordination layer.
one place to understand the right steps, submit the necessary information, track complaints, and stay on top of the recovery process.
we also propose a trusted, maintained directory of official customer-care contacts for every Indian bank and third-party UPI app.
